If you went down to People’s Park last month for the Jersey International Motoring Festival you’ll have noticed there were more than a few Minis in attendance. To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the classic mini, the mini clubs of Jersey were out in force this year.
Both the Mini Club Jersey and the Classic Mini Breakfast Club combined their efforts with their ’60 for 60 display’. In total 61 classic minis were brought to the event creating the largest single make display at the show.
Minis not only came from Jersey but the UK, France and Guernsey to support the event and owners were able to take part in cavalcades as well as the static display. Old Minis, new Minis, 4×4 Minis, Blue Minis. They were all there. Mini-mad bakers baked a birthday cake for all who came to the show to enjoy and the Saturday culminated with the mini owners forming a 60 for the 60th anniversary photo. We guess they had one little one left over. They’ll need all 61 next year….
