This afternoon we rode the new escalators up to de Gruchy’s new first floor of fashion. The prosecco was popping and Rocksteady DJs were rocking as people got their first glimpse of the new floor, stocking an unrivalled selection of leading fashion brands in a grand setting to tempt Jersey’s most fashionable.
Set amid jaw dropping architecture, the first floor fashion destination offers a luxurious and high-end environment, with more space to peruse popular brands and bigger collections including Oasis, Mint Velvet, Coast, Phase 8 and Karen Millen, all displayed in an unrivalled and beautiful setting.
After being closed for six months refurbishment de Gruchy’s grand opening fashion event will welcome shoppers onto a brand new escalator whisking them up to the first floor and enable them to mingle this weekend. Julian Bennett, the man behind the Jersey Fashion show, who cut his teeth with TV fashion on Channel 4, will be on hand to offer lucky customers personal shopping sessions, style advice and trend forecasting on this season’s must-have items to stay ahead in the style stakes.
Shoppers will also be treated to delicious nibbles and refreshments during the three-day extravaganza with goodie bags handed out to the public in addition to special gifts with purchases made – ensuring that de Gruchy continues to lead the way in all things fashion.
Commenting on the launch, de Gruchy Managing Director, Neville Moore said, “We are delighted to be opening the first phase of our new fashion destination in an exquisite environment, steeped in history, that plays to the original heritage associated with our store in the heart of St Helier.
“By moving our new edit of fashion brands onto the first floor, we have created a unique and luxurious state-of-the-art shopping environment, which compliments our brand identity ‘forever inspired’, encapsulating the impressive heritage and stature of de Gruchy’s business.
